being taken down by a paper clip.

I'm sure everyone has seen or opperated one of these types of chairs before in there life, and so have I. And everyone knows that a paper clip is much, much smaller than this chair. Well yesterday was the paper clips day to prove a point in office superiority. Every day when i come to work i plop down in my not yet week old chair and get down to buisness. You see these chairs are nice because they have the wheels on them so we can scoot from one side to another, getting stacks of this and that, makes life a little easier on us all. Well yesterday was like any other day just doing my thing then the phone rang and instead of getting up, I just scooted... well i guess i scooted to hard. For the next thing i realized i was feet in the air and sideways on my way down to meet the ground. THWACK! head bounced off the floor hurt my back again and broke my chair's armrest clean off. Well now i'm confused because i've done this phone answering thing before and never fallen so i got up to investigate and there it was... an Office Max jumbo smooth paper clip. Never in my wildest dreams could i've amagined that a paper clip that is no more than an inch and a half long and mabey a millameter or two thick could take down and destroy an office chair. Slightly bent this paper clip will never have to clip paper again fore I am keeping it to remind me that even the smallest things can do much damage to office furnature. -jm-
